Wimasis introduces SaaS QIA to speed up assay analysis

Wimasis is introducing myWim, a pay-per-image web-based quantitative image analysis (QIA) platform to enable objectivity and cost efficiency for between cell-based research stakeholders. Wimasis believes its QIA offering via myWim, a Software-as-a-service (SaaS) web platform, is compelling enough to convince market participants.

"Combining QIA with its pay-per-image pricing model, SaaS will significantly lessen the administrative burden and costs traditionally associated with QIA solutions", explained Kilian Schramm, CEO and Co-Founder of Wimasis. The cost-benefits are similar to those associated with other SaaS platforms, such as reduced infrastructure expenditure and maintenance, and myWim will succeed or fail consequently on the strength of the technology.

The myWim platform uses a ‘drag and drop’ interface to allow the user to upload images directly from their computers. The user interface and expected workflows are efficient. Adopting this platform can cut the time to result creation to a matter of minutes. Users can access the system through any internet-connected computer. Wimasis believes its system is secure, an important factor for all clients using SaaS.

Researchers, administrators, data managers and research coordinators can all be granted access to the system. Currently the system is in beta-testing and is available at beta.wimasis.com.
The public release of myWim is currently scheduled for March at analytica 2010 in Munich. The system is designed to be used for any image analysis solution.
